Last year Kaylee and I made pine cone bird feeders for the birds. Over the last couple weeks we have been fortunate to have some warmer weather and get outside. While taking walk-a-bouts around the yard we have found MANY pine cones. This has reminded Kaylee of our bird feeder project from last year. Our own version of the Laura Numeroff books, ...if Kaylee goes outside she'll probably want to take a walk, and while on a walk she'll probably find some pine cones, and seeing some pine cones will make her remember the bird feeders and want to make some more.

Ainsley inspecting the bird feeder. It's important for the birds to have some place to freshen up after they are done eating.
Kaylee doing one of her favorite activities; looking for bugs.
No, Kaylee didn't fall she was rolling down the hill, Ainsley was running, she tried to roll but just couldn't quite go fast enough for her liking. Usually my mom is rolling with Kaylee, but this time Kaylee was doing a solo-roll.
Another of Kaylee's favorite things, splashing in puddles, especially ones with mud! Thank goodness for boots!
Time to go inside and get some lunch. The girls helping Mee-maw carry stuff back to the garage.
Today we went over to my mom's and before we did we gathered some pine cones to take and make more bird feeders. We got to mom's and made our bird feeders. We tied string on the pine cones, spread peanut butter on them and rolled them in birdseed, then we took them outside to hang them up.
We also found other things to play. Enjoy our photos of our outside playtime

Ainsley felt she should try the peanut butter before offering it to the birds.

Great idea with the pine cones. We were on a walk tonight at my dad's house, picked up some pines and cones and I am totally stealing your idea. Thanks!!!
