Today

Today this little doll you see in the video, taken almost exactly 2 years ago, went to Kindergarten registration. This was a day that she has been waiting for since this school year started. This is a day that she got to visit Kaylee's school, not as her sister, but as someone who will soon be calling it her school because she will be a student too! She was very excited! I was very excited for her too, even though Brad may tell you my excitement is hiding behind my tears which have been appearing more frequently as we have talked about this day in the past week.

For those who know me I am sure hearing of my tears comes as no surprise. At Kaylee's Kindergarten registration I cried 3 times. Today I only started to tear up twice, once when all the Kindergartners-to-be got in a line to go into the classroom while parents stayed in the gym to fill out paperwork and listen to school information and the other time was when Mrs. Lancaster (the Kindergarten teacher) came in to tell us about the "sunflowers". Overall I did a much better job of keeping my tears in, after all I have at least 4 1/2 more months until I really need to accept our new reality.

She is so ready to go and by August I know that she will be bursting to get on that bus. I truly am excited for her, but this new milestone truly pulls at my heartstrings.
